Job position for Driver



Do you find you have free time and a willingness to help others? Trans County Transportation Society has openings for drivers who have spare time for a flexible schedule. The ideal candidate will have a friendly disposition, a desire to help your fellow citizens, and work well with others. A Class 4 license would be an asset but not a requirement. TCTS will help to obtain the licence, if required.


The Company


The Trans County Transportation Society (TCTS) is a not-for-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to provide affordable, safe and courteous transportation services to individuals residing within the organization’s service area.  This is accomplished through the cooperation of managers, drivers, and dispatch staff who each take a role in the coordination and delivery of this service.  A Board of Directors from the region provides policy direction and oversight to the operation of the organization.


The Position


The Driver provides reliable and courteous transportation service to clients with safety as a top priority; provides a communication link between the Assistant Manager and the client; operates and maintains the assigned vehicle(s); and documents vehicle and customer records, all in a manner that represents TCTS with a high level of professionalism.


The salary scale starts at $13.00 per hour during initial training and probationary period to $14.00 per hour after completion of initial training. Further increases to a current maximum of $16.00 per hour will depend on periodic performance evaluations. TCTS offers paid sick leave and bereavement leave and all necessary training for this position.
